Coaching Vs. Therapy, what’s the difference?
- Therapy focuses on the past and aims at understanding WHY the problem exists. Many people (including myself) have benefited from great therapy, and there is no shame in that. Therapists can diagnose mental health conditions (such as depression, anxiety, etc) and can be covered by your health insurance. Coaching focuses on the future and seeks to clarify WHAT the goal is and HOW you can get moving forward. My style of coaching focus on what is right (as opposed to what is wrong). Coaching is not covered by insurance.
