Right now I am using this website to keep Certificate in Positive Psychology (CiPP) students and alumni informed about The CiPP Tour. Which is a volunteer project I created for myself, where I organize get togethers for CiPPers in various cities in the northeast USA, and facilitate a workshop-like experience that helps us do two things: connect face to face (deepen our relationships and increasing our network), and deepen our understanding of the material (by reviewing the modules and doing exercises).
How did I start this, and Why am I doing this?
When I discovered Wholebeing Institute’s Certificate in Positive Psychology Program at Kripalu, I knew immediately that THIS WAS IT! This is what I’ve been looking for! I enrolled in their 11-month program, knowing that one day I would teach workshops using this amazing work.
During my first immersion I had a vision of traveling the world and doing workshops with fellow CiPPers. But that seemed like a mountain too high for me to climb.
“How can I accomplish this gigantic vision,” I asked myself constantly!
Then, with the wisdom and guidance of a few of my classmates, I broke it down into three smaller phases. Phase one was to learn the material and connect with my classmates and CiPP alumni.
I knew the value of connecting face-to-face, so after the immersion I began to travel to meet up with classmates, and the idea started to evolve. Fast forward to the end of 2013 and I had been to 10 cities, and connected with 42 of my classmates and a few of the alumni! In the process of organizing these events, I have developed an agenda.
In March 2014 I graduated from the program and was chosen to be a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the next class. I am so grateful for this opportunity because it allows me to deepen my learning and begin to acquire the skills I will need to teach workshops based on this work.
Dance around the website, and you’ll learn a lot more about The CiPP Tour!
